Thank you for contacting Nike regarding our Nike + iPod Sport Kit.
The Nike + iPod Sport Kit consists of a shoe sensor and a receiver that is plugged in to your iPod nano. This sensor will only work with footwear styles that are Nike+ ready and there is no option to use this with older model or non-Nike shoes at this time.
The Nike + iPod Sport Kit is not compatible with any of our other Nike watches or monitoring products like your Triax Elite.Nike+ ready shoes will still work with your Triax Elite just like normal.
Please check out our http://www.nikeplus.com website for updates and more information on Nike+ ready products.

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a Triax Elite, but would like to take a
look at some of the exported data before I take the plunge. Would
anyone be willing to send me a sample of an exported workout with HR
data and splits?
Thanks,

Please use the following procedures for resetting the HRM. I had
the same problem as well. The manual does not contain the following
information.
Source for the following information. -
http://www.heartratemonitor.co.uk/nike_heart_reset.html
Nike C10 -CV10 Heart Rate Monitor. Re-initialisation of the chest
transmitter to the wrist unit
If you press all four buttons of your Nike HRM it will reset. Next
time you go to "RUN" mode, it will show "HRM LINK" error. You will
now need to "hard reset" the unit.
Nike made a late change to add a "hard reset" to the chest strap. To
re-link (re-initialise) the watch you'll need to open the battery
door on the chest strap, and use a paper clip (or the equivalent) to
push the small gold button in the battery area. There should be a
small sticker in the battery compartment that points to the reset
button.
The re-initialisation steps for the Nike C10 and CV10 digital HRM's
is:
(1) reset the watch
(2) open the battery door on the chest strap
(3) move the watch to RUN mode
(4) press the reset button in the chest strap battery area
(5) put the battery back in the chest strap (if it's not already in -
it's possible to push the button without removing the battery)
(6) hold both of the electrode to create a signal (probably not
necessary - it usually links immediately).
Eventually, Nike will either eliminate the hard reset or update the
manual to include this info

Hi,
I have a Nike Triax C10 HRM that I bought less than 2 months ago.
When I bought it, it worked promptly and I did not have to perform the
"Linking the HR Transmitter to the Watch" procedure mentioned in the
manual (page 14).
I worked fine during these 2 months, but today I pressed the 4 side
buttons unintentionally and the watch was reset. Now, when I scroll to
RUN or INTR mode, I receive the "HRM Link" message in the display, but
I follow the procedures in the manual (mentioned above) without
success - there is no "HRM Link OK" message and no heart rate is
collected.
I thought that the problem was the battery in the transmitter and I
changed the battery with a new CR2032 3V Lithium battery and tried to
perform the procedures again, with no success.
Is there any other thing that I can do to make my HRM work again?
Thanks in advance.

I have been having some troubles with my foot pod. A few weeks ago I
noticed that the light on the pod didn't blink...it would just stay on
when I turned it on. I would turn it off and on over and over again
but the light always just stayed on. I replaced the battery and had
the same issue. I thought that maybe it had gotten wet inside
(eventhough I never had it in water) so I took the battery out and
used a hair dryer for a few minutes on the inside. Suprisingly, this
seemed to work. The light began to blink and I took it to a track and
recalibrated it. It worked for a few days and then back to the same
problem. Now, when I turn it on the first time it stays on w/o
blinking. If I turn it off and turn it right back on again it blinks
like it is supposed to but tells me I'm running 40 min/miles, when I'm
probably more like 8 min/miles.
I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or has any
suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan.
Whats up with the new nike shoes tied with the iPod transmitter? Do
these shoes also use the Dynastream technology? That would be cool
if you could buy shoes with the same technology. Tied in with the
watches we all have.
Hello all, i stumbled onto this group while searching the internet for
someone who was able to get the triax elite to sync with a macbook
pro. I tried to do the stuff that was suggested on here, but I'm
still not having any luck...if anyone could please help me out, that
would be excellent, thanks!
dan.
I got back from a run today and tried to sync the watch up with my
computer. I've never had any problems before. I browsed over the chron
data and workout data in stats mode, both were there. When I was
syncing the watch with the computer it gave me an error that the run
data may have been corrupted and it was ignoring it. I then turned off
the watch and the software program. Restarted both and told it to sync
again. This time it said that there was no new run data. I thought it
said it was being ignored! Now there is nothing in the stats mode
besides the odometer. Has anyone had this happened, have any idea what
may have caused it, or know if I can retrieve that data? I don't want
this to happen again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have just bought a Triax C10 and I am liking it too much.
I have a question, although, on setting training intervals.
C10 has only 5 different intervals, but I would like to set up a
training with only 4:
- On the first interval I would like to make a 30min with heart rate
between 137bpm and 150bpm;
- Then, on the second interval I would like a 10min to recovery
(100bpm to 136bpm)
- Again other interval like the first, 30min between 137bpm to 150bpm;
- And finally, the fourth interval would be similar to the second with
10min in 100-136bpm.
I follwed the steps in the manual, but I can only put the interval of
time or the threshold for the recovery heart rate. Is it possible to
include box time and heart rate zone in C10? How does this threshold
works? The manual says "This number acts as a recovery heart rate. The
segment will not work if your recent heart rate is less than the set
value", but I did not understand. Can anyone explain that to me, please?
Thanks for the help.

Hello all. I just thought i would introduce myself. I just bought the Nike Triax
Elite yesterday
and thought i'd say hello in the group. After trying to use this thing, i don't
know if i'm just
getting old or if this watch is not intuitive because to get to certain features
or settings it
sometimes leaves me scratching my head. But this seems like a fun training tool
which might
incourage more workouts out of me. Anyone with any views on if the polars are
easier to use
or if this is easier? This is my first heart rate monitor and Distance + Speed
monitor.
Hello,
I'm transitioning to a new MacBook Pro (with Tiger - 10.4.5). I'm having
trouble running the
latest version of the Triax Elite software (2.0.4). I downloaded it from the
nike website
(http://www.nike.com/timing/extranet/elite_software/) and managed to expand the
"self-
expanding archive" using StuffIt Expander. It runs fine and picks up my old
user profile, but
the Sync button will not appear. I connect the USB receiver prior to opening
the software, but
still nothing. My guess is that the USB drivers are not compatible with the new
Intel-based
Mac platform. I have a call in to customer support, but I thought I would send
out a message
to see if anyone else has this problem... or better yet, a solution!
Thanks,
Justin
Sorry, I didn't put that in my previous message. I did do that once
I had replaced the batteries. I reset the watch and relinked both
the HRM and the SDM. They seemed to be working fine and during my
run the links were dropping. The SDM would drop and I would hear a
beep and then it would come back later. The HRM was the same. It
would display the heart rate for a while and then it would drop to
the 3 dashes and I wouldn't see the blinking heart on the watch.

I think there is something in the instructions about re-linking the
HRM and the SDM to the watch. You might try that.
Here's the info from the website http://www.niketiming.com
"Your watch and SDM foot pod communicate via a unique digital radio
frequency. When you change the watch battery, replace your foot pod,
or reset the watch by pressing all four buttons, it is necessary to
re-link the watch to the speed sensor. If the watch is not linked to
any speed sensor, it will prompt you to press and hold the speed
sensor button. After you have pressed and held the button on the
speed sensor, the speed sensor light will blink rapidly. For a few
seconds it will send its unique identification code. When the watch
has registered the code, it will indicate a successful link."
Hope this helps,
Curtis

Last week, I started noticing that my HRM was dropping randomly during
my runs, but the SDM Pod seemed to be working just fine. Then early
this week, the pace started getting erratic as well. So I replaced
the batteries in the watch and the HRM. Everything went fine and the

the same thing happen. Both the SDM and the HRM dropped at multiple
points during the run. After I finished my run, I noticed that if I
got the watch closer to the HRM or SDM that it would pick up a signal
again. Has anyone noticed anything like this or do I need to contact

Hi Everyone-
I've had the Elite HRM/SDM for about 18 months now. I'm very happy
with the results and accuracy I've been getting, but noticed that the
battery in the HRM strap needed replacing every three months or so.
After my runs, I'd been in the habit of simply taking the HRM off and
tossing it in my bag along with my other gym clothes. The other day,
an hour after I was done, the HRM was still transmitting! I guess that
while it was still wet (I sweat a lot) and pressed up against
something, it was still on. I've noticed a few other e-mails relating
to the HRM battery life, and for the past few days I've been careful
to both wipe it down and put it in a container where the sensors
aren't touching anything. The strap seems to shut right down when I do
this.
If someone could use the soft under Wn XP
64 bits I´d appreciate some words….i´m still trying to make it work but
it seems impossible.
Thanks!!!
Emiliano.

Hi, I had the same problem after 5 or 6 months, and I
sent the watch to parsec repair. They changed the HRM only at no
cost becasue I was under the warranty period. I was using the HRM
normally. The worst thing is that I shipped the watch to US while I am
based here in Qatar so I had to wait about 1 month or more to use the
watch again. Send it for HRM replacement. Best Regards...

Have you guys had this problem? This is the second watch that I've
bought that have had this problem, and this watch is only about 6
months old. I had to return the first one. I'm just wondering what is
it that I did that caused this problem. What I usually do after my run
is to stuff the HRM into my shoe with the ends curved up. I'm
wondering whether this breaks the wire that's inside the HRM? I've
tried changing the battery and also doing the reset as recommended in
tne manual (although the instructions there is not very clear about
how you're supposed to hold it and what's the watch trying to do).
Nothing works. There's also a miniature reset switcheroo in the
battery compartment itself but I cannot figure how to use it as
everything in there is microzsized. I REALLY would rather not return
the entire package and be told whether it's working or not. Anyone

Anybody know where I can find a replacement case for my Triax Elite? I bought a

travelling a few
