Hi - sorry if this is posted twice, but

I replaced my HRM strap battery in January of this year (after about a
year of use), and that battery subsequently died about a week ago. When
I replaced that battery, it only lasted 8 miles into my run.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Has anyone else had to replace their strap? (if so, where and how much
did that cost?)

I am somewhat disappointed as my polar HRM is still running strong, on
the original strap (battery is not user replacable). I'm wondering if
maybe there's a short or the seal was compromised when I replaced the
battery the first time around.
