It only beeps in Chrono mode, not in workout mode (unless you have 1 mile segments).  Also, I think you have to have the "chime" on - having it beep every hour and every time you press a button - in order for them to be heard.

I've owned the Triax elite for about 6 months now. I haven't synched my runs in over a month and tried to do so today. I put the watch right next to the... 		tenn_jed33

My steps: 1. Plug in USB connector 2. Launch Elite software 3. Initiate link from watch If I don't do it in that exact order, it doesn't work. Is it capturing...

After a reboot I got the watch to link with the PC and was able to download all my run history. The beeping is still not working. I do have it on Crono mode...
