I don't have the elite, I have the first model of the
SDM (though there were improvements made on mine that
weren't in the original). But I also found that the
footpod is more accurate on my left. I don't know if
it's because my right foot wobbles in the air just
before hitting the ground, or if it's that my left
foot is more on the inside of the first lane when
calibrating.

In addition, I find that the accuracy gets worse as my
shoes get older. That thing is sensitive!
