"It seems as though we're getting away from the game
plan or putting our heads down or something. I've
never been through a stretch of not winning for 12
games, I can tell you that much. I think this is new
for a lot of guys. We can only stay positive, and
that's the only way we can get out of this." ~ Roberto
Luongo
I'm positive they need to start Jamie McLennan Friday
night.

Going for the record? Not quite. With the shoot out
rules in the NHL it's a bit easier than it was in the
past to extend a losing streak. That being said, the
shoot out loss against the Rangers must be considered
a tie, which means the Cats are not on a losing
streak, they are on a winless streak.
The longest winless streak was 15 games, (0-14-1) from
February 1 through March 23, 1998.
Doesn't that make you feel better?

"It was like two different people out there with
'Pelts.' He came through at the right time and you
have to give him credit." ~ Amerks coach Randy
Cunneyworth
Panthers prospect comes up big at the Amerks rally
back to a 7-4 win over the B-Sens. Another Panther
prospect, Drew Larman picked up second star of the
game with two assists, and was reportedly good on his
faceoffs.

B-Sens fail to hold two-goal lead against Rochester

When Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jiri Fischer
collapsed during the first period of Monday's game and
went into cardiac arrest, team doctors revived him
with the help of a portable defibrillator.
The same type of heart-starting device sits by the
Rochester Americans bench for every game and practice.
At the insistence of trainer Kent Weisbeck, the Amerks
purchased the $2,400 defibrillator in 2003.
