Hi everybody,
Follow this link to an interview with Colin Calderwood in the Guardian.

By the way Dave, what are your thoughts on Kevin James? When-ever I read
anything about him it refers to his blistering pace. Is he not worth
keeping as an impact player who can come off the bench and mix things
up?
Chris.

I sponsor Thommo and although probably a little biased he is, in my
opinion,
too much of a squad player to get rid of?
He is a very 'flexible' player and can cover many positions. I doubt he
will
be a 'starter' every week.
One's I can foresee going are:
Nicky 'Hoof It' Eaden
Neil Harris (not the same player of 3 years ago)
David Friio (Shame but he cannot hit his form again)
Kevin James
Scott Dobie (Maybe mid season if his injury doesn't clear up)
Jack Lester (Cannot perform like he used to)
James Beaumont
I wouldn't be surprised to see some players 'go out on loan' though as
well
for a few months!!
Get a new striker in. DJ (Hopefully) can give us a good season. Grant
Holt
is an 'old fashioned' striker and plays nicely behind the front man and
Tyson plays better running in from the left and with Commons on the
right a
good, on paper, striking force.................if the midfield can
provide a
service that is!!
Going to be an interesting season one thinks :)

So lets talk about who is going to leave the club then!! We have 34
(ish) players trying to get into the 1st team and reserves, which leaves
about 10 guys spare plus anyone coming through the academy. CC has
already suggested that some will have to leave, so its not a matter of
IF but WHEN.
My money would be on
Nicky Eaden
David Friio
DJ
Kevin James
Scott Dobie or Jack Lester
John Thompson

NO!! Please don't say that - every year we expect to be promoted and
look what happens when anybody makes a statements of this
expectation. I believe we should make no statements even if we think
it.

Leeds U over the weekend but with a week to go the first game against
Bradford it may all get everyone going. You never know. Season ticket
sales are down by 1000 but still over 12000 sold, not bad. I believe
we will make promotion this year, we have to.
