Mitch;

Allow me to offer you some advice. Take the first round draft pick
that we received in the Shaq deal and trade for a center (unless you
can pick up a free agent center such as Vlade Divac). Any big man
who can atleast slow down Shaq in the NBA finals. Not to mention the
threats from San Antonio and Detroit. Grant will be outstanding off
the bench at the center and power forward position. I watched him
play when I was in Portland....... Please, try to resign Karl "The
Mailman" Malone as well.

After obtaining a big man or 2, you need to add depth at the guard
position. Kobe is the greatest and I believe that Gary "The Glove"
Payton will be an image of his ownself once again next year, but we
need depth in the backcourt.

Odom, Butler, and Grant bring needed new life to the Lakers!

Finally, it's my assessment that with the moves I expect you and the
Lakers to make, that the team will again contend for the NBA title in
2005.

Thank you,
J. Scott Davis
