Karl Malone is now blaming his doctor for misdiagnosing his knee injury, saying
that he should have seen that it was a partial tear and not a strain. but I keep
hearing that Karl was just pushing too hard to get back and reinjured himself.
To me, this seems more likely because this is uncharted territory for him. He
doesn't know how to rehab an injury. This is really too bad. It was really
something to watch a 40-year-old guy run the floor like he did and fill the
lanes on the fast breaks. What a work ethic.

I'm a Lakers fan from way way way back (think Elgin, Jerry, Gail, et
al.) Now living in Boulder, CO in part so I can at least be close to
a Western Conference town (I'm also a long-time Dodgers fan, so the
Western Division is in play in Denver). I was in Washington
Bullets/Wizards territory for many years -- truly the NBA's version of
Siberia. There's a lot to discuss. I'm looking forward to a
resolution of Kobe's "situation" here in my new state of Colorado.
Best wishes to all.
Dan L.
