Double A - Game Two
==================================
Jim Abbott hurled a two-hit seven inning shutout in
his first game with New Britain as the Rockcats

Abbott (1-0), who was 5-3 with a 2.31 ERA with Class A
Fort Myers, struck out five and did not allow an
extra-base hit in the game. Jason Bartlett went
3-for-4 with three RBI, including run-scoring single
to start a six-run second inning, which was capped
with a grand slam by Terry Tiffee, who finished with
five RBI. Josh Rabe drew a bases-loaded walk to force

==================================
Michael Restovich singled home Chad Green with the
winning run in the 10th inning to lead the Rochester
Red Wings to a 3-2 victory over the Richmond Braves.
After Green walked and move to third on a Luis
Rodriguez double, Restovich ripped an RBI base hit to
snap a 2-2 tie. Green, who drew three walks, finished
1-for-2 with a solo homer, his fifth of the season, in
the eighth inning to even the score. Ryan Mills (2-0)
allowed just two hits over 3 1/3 scoreless innings to
pick up the win in relief for Rochester, which won for
just the second time in its last six games.
Jesse Garcia was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Mike Hessman
was 3-for-5 with a double for Richmond, which has
dropped nine of its last 11. Sam McConnell (1-1) gave
up a run and two hits with two walks in 2/3 of an
inning to take the loss in relief of Chris Fussell,
who allowed just a run and three hits in seven innings
before leaving with a 2-1 lead in the eighth.

Twins
==================================
Mike Sweeney may have had one of the best nights of
his career, but what Raul Ibanez accomplished in the
bottom of the ninth inning likely will have a much
longer lasting effect on the Kansas City Royals.
Sweeney tied a career high with five RBI but Ibanez's
single in the bottom of the ninth plated Carlos
Beltran with the winning run as the Royals blew an
eight-run lead before rallying for a 9-8 triumph over
the Minnesota Twins.
