Jesse Floyd allowed five hits and three runs in three innings in relief
but earned the win as the Rock Cats beat the Sea Dogs 8-6 in Portland
Monday.
New Britain opened the scoring with three two-out runs off Tommy Hottovy
in the second inning. The Rock Cats got two RBI from Brock Peterson, Luke
Hughes and Kyle Geiger. They extended their lead to 7-1 in the sixth,
tagging Scott Shoemaker for five hits and four runs.
Tim Lahey got the final four outs for his first Double A save.
