The Albany 10K is at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday May 31in the center of Albany NY. Don Lawrence was passing out info. about it at the Master's meet last weekend in Boston. He didn't pass out applications that I know of. I am sure that they wil apperar soon.
Customary fast starter Tom Knatt holds the lead after three races in the 2008 New England Walkers Racewalking Grand Prix. Scores are based on competitors' times as compared with international age-graded tables. A walker's four best results for the year will constitute his or her final total.
Our events so far have been the Greater Boston Track Club 3K on 1/20, the New England Indoor 3K championship on 2/6, and the National Masters Indoor 3K on 3/30. Since this year's rules allow walkers to include one performance from a national championship outside of our regular schedule, the standings below include results for Joanne Dow, Lauren Forgues, and Michael Kazmierczak in the National Indoor Track & Field Championships on 2/23 and 2/24.
Our next Grand Prix race, as far as I can tell, is the National 10K Championship in Albany, NY, on May 31.
