Dear NEW,
Sunday Nov. 5, 2006 seems to be the best time for the annual meeting. It
would be at noon in Groton MA. We could meet on Station Ave. in Groton
Center for an informal competition on the bike trail, then repair to our
house for the potluck and meeting in West Groton, See address below. Let
me know your thoughts.

Another twist I've heard of is to guess the pace. Each person guesses their finish time/pace and the person who is closest wins. I'm iffy for Sunday; it will...

Tom, Given, the bike trail is marked in increments of 1/2 mile (804.672 meters), and you want an out-and-back course, you could add distance by either moving...
I don't know, Joe. I think I'll be disoriented enough just being in Groton instead of Concord. Charlie ... From: J. Light To: newalkers@yahoogroups.com Sent:...

Dear N.E.W., This idea is not new. I can remember doing Lawrence to Lowell and the Taunton courses, and standing around afterward endlessly debating how long...
Dear Justin, Thanks for the info. Letter 'C' should be one marker further out, I think. To do 10K, I like making A to B=282.1 feet. Then we would walk the A...
Tom, To display the text correctly, you'll need to used a fixed pitch font like Courier. The 10K requires the 6 miles (3 miles out and 3 back) plus an...

Dear NEW, Justin seems to favor a single loop 10K course. I had thought that doing two 5K loops would make it easier. Perhaps some additional participants ...
I'm happy with a single-loop 10K. I will gladly defer to those who want a 5K option if there are any such people. charlie "Thomas Knatt" <tknatt@... ...

The single out and back 10k seems shorter than the two loop 5k so I would prefer that option. Tom will be awarded a bottle of fine wine, i.e. something with a...
My congratulations too, Richard. We hope to see you sometime soon at another event. You can't be in too bad shape, if you are marching in all those parades. ...
Tom, I was offered a weekend gig in VT and probably won't be able to meake the race. I might get there a little later. Bob Ullman ... From: Thomas Knatt To:...
Dear group, I will set it up for a single loop 10K. If anyone wants to do 5K, we can mark that course too. I don't know about the availablility of bathrooms....
