While I don't consider the $150 I'll have to pay to be too much for
the ride (heck it's nothing compared to Tevis), a lot of people are
upset because the price nearly doubled this year. Entry to the 100
in the past has been $100 early registration. The jump to $190 took
a few people by surprise. As a ride manager I do understand that
100's/night rides (which I manage) do cost a little more due to
the "disposables" you have to purchase such as glow sticks, feeding
volunteers for a longer time frame, and the higher fees you may have
to pay your vets. But at $200 per rider ... ?? I'll go because I
want to do the ride, regardless of the cost. The entry fee is
nothing compared to my gas and time to get down there.

I am sure they are just having rising costs,
just like everyone else, though you experienced
ride managers would know better than I. It does
*seem* that Distance riding is still a tiny bit cheaper
than showing at rated shows?
God Bless~
