Well, it didn't happen.  :(  I rode my youngster in the LD on Friday, and partway through the first loop we were walking through a big flowing puddle, and he stepped into a deep spot and fell...I came off, he tried to get up and fell again, this time landing on my right foot.  He bolted, but another rider caught him...we walked out to the road and got a trailer ride back to camp, as he was a bit sore on his left rear, and my foot hurt.  My foot hurt really bad by that night, so I dropped down from the 100 to the 50 for the next day.  It kept me up all night hurting, and I could hardly walk by next morning, so I didn't ride at all...gave Bear to a junior whose borrowed horse for the LD didn't vet in...so Bear got a 25 mile conditioning ride while I helped with taking arrival times in camp.  But, my youngster, Sundance, is now doing fine, so I'm happy.  And my foot is doing better.
