The 9/18-19 League Championships and Doubles tournament ahs been cancelled. We waited until the last minute to see how the weather forecast would develop and it is not good. Therefore, the tournament has been moved to next weekend, Sept. 25-26 at Long Beach.
The player's party will be at the Tiki Bar and the Bud Light Walkathon will be short & sweet with an ice cream store right across the street.
All league teams that were pre-registered for this weekend will need to pre-register again for the Long Beach date. Please note that I need a lot of 4s teams to register because I cannot take another season with Rob Klumpp's teams as the league champion.
Please contact me with any questions.

Hey all, just moved to the South Shore of Long Island - played club in college
and three years of USAV in Chicago. Looking for a competitive indoor league
to hook up with, or a website where there are open gyms listed. Please email
at bangser@..., or to the email group. Thanks.
Anyone that lives on Long Island, near the Bay Shore area and would like to
play some 2's or 3's in the evenings after work, get back to me at
brian_vt@.... I found a great beach volleyball court to play on.
We could meet by the Bay Shore train station. This court is perfect and no
one is ever there.

MIX IT UP #4 Beach Volleyball Tournament September 25th, 2004.
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Two hours north of Buffalo.
The last outdoor beach tournament of the summer!
Saturday, Sept 25th
Morning tournaments - Men's and Women's 2's
Afternoon tournaments - Coed 2's, 4's, & 6's
Cost - $15/person.
The last weekend in September is time for MIX IT UP 4. Yes, the fourth one already! We have to give you one last chance to be outside in the sun in case you did not play enough tournaments this summer. The MIX IT UP 4 Beach Volleyball Tournament is designed so you can play more than one format in one day. It is a group of "shorter" tournaments pressed into one. Each "shorter" tournament lasts about 4 hours so you do not have to commit a full day to playing. However, if you want to play all day, you can. You even have the option of playing with different teammates.
We have a format for everyone of every skill level;
The morning MIX IT UP is reserved for doubles it starts at 9am and ends before 2pm. They will consist of single round-robin games ending with playoffs and prizes.
The afternoon MIX IT UP tournaments begin at 2pm and end before 7pm. You even get to sleep in if you don't want to play in the morning.
On our MIX IT UP website you can read all the results from the first three MIX IT UP tournaments as well as view many great pictures we took of the action.
The sand courts are located at Diamond Beach in Centennial Park, Etobicoke. (Ontario, Canada) It is southwest of the where highway's 401 & 427 meet. The general area is the Northwest edge of Toronto. Check out the map on the website. Diamond Beach has 6 made-man sand courts with lights for playing at night. There is an outdoor patio bar overlooking the courts as well as bathrooms nearby. Its a great facility for a beach volleyball tournament. You can enjoy food and drink during and after your games.
The best way to get a feel for this tournament is to read all the possible "formats" you can play in (below) and visit the MIX IT UP website for many more details; http://members.aol.com/mixitupvolley
This tournament is being co-run by; Angela Quigley (West Toronto Sport & Social Club) Keith MacDougall (KSmack PAIRS Tournaments)
We hope this tournament sparks a fire in you to play one last beach tournament before the indoor leagues begin. If you would love to play a half day, or a full day, of beach volleyball please contact us.
