Team SpikeKey Begins the 2009 season!
 Welcome back SpikeKey fans to another
exciting season of beach volleyball! Team SpikeKey has been working
effortlessly to prepare for the upcoming 2009 season. To increase our
strength we have been hitting the weights three times a week with trainer,
Vern Gambetta. Our toes have been no stranger to the sand with volleyball
coach Bob Parker pushing us physically and mentally to prepare for the
vigorous schedule and competition this year.
SpikeKey
had a great kick start to the season; we were invited by the AVP to
participate in a celebrity match for the Super Bowl festivities in
collaboration with ESPN The Magazine. We had the opportunity to play against
other pro athletes, including tennis players, and NFL quarterback, Jason
Campbell, from the Red Skins.
We
have been blessed with some wonderful opportunities for the 2009 year.
SpikeKey will participate in several international tournaments and have
signed several spectacular endorsement deals. A highlight this year will be
the publication of SpikeKey
Beach Annual.
SpikeKey will represent the USA at the NORCEA
Cayman Islands Event
(March 25-30)
SpikeKey
has been selected to represent the USA as the only women’s team to compete in
the NORCEA Cayman Islands event. We will be training and competing against
other teams from various countries around the world. There are no words to
describe how excited we are to represent the USA in this prestigious event.
We look forward to sharing photos of SpikeKey in our red, white, and blue
uniform.
SpikeKey Beach Annual
 This April SpikeKey will
launch its inaugural issue of the SpikeKey
Beach Annual magazine. The magazine has three main objectives; 1.
Drive tourism and economic growth to every state we compete in, with a focus
on the state of Florida.
2. Provide educational resources to both youth and adult audiences in regards
to the beach community and specifically beach volleyball. 3. Deliver a live
