some of the largest prizes offered for Women’s Open ever on the East
Coast:

Over a 6 week period from mid-July to the end of August
there will be 1 $1500 tournament and 4 $2500 tournaments, all with a trip to
the Caribbean Championships thrown in. And the Aug 2-3 tournament in Long
Beach, NY will be televised (details to follow)
We hope that the women’s open players around the
country appreciate this increase in prize money and will come to support these
events. That support along with the TV coverage will allow us to increase
sponsorship for 2009 and maintain this level of support for the women’s
game.
And to help players keep costs down, please let me know if
you would be interested in supplying rooms for travelling players in exchange for
rooms when a tournament is in their area. Send that info to me and I will try
to match up open players to trade rooms.
