Clarification: All leagues finished last week

There are not any make-up dates for last Tuesday since it gets dark too early leaving too little time to play.

 

The next and final play for leagues teams will be:

Miller Lite League Championship Tournament & Classic Car Rally

Saturday September 16 at Cedar Beach in Babylon, NY

Check in at 9 am.

Start play 9:30 am

Finals begin at 6 pm

After play party starts at 6 pm with 2 free beers and a $5 food coupon at the Beach Hut

Classic Car Rally begins at 6 pm and features cars and their owners displayed in the parking lot.

NO CHARGE for league teams

 

All leagues teams are eligible for the league championships

It does not matter where you finished in the league

Divisions:

1. Recreational coed 6s
2. Competitive coed 6s
3. 4-player teams (triples teams can play in the 4-player division)
4. Doubles tournament with men’s & women’s Open, AA, A & B division teams. League doubles teams may join together to compete in the 4-player division at no charge or can pay to play in the doubles divisions

 

Format: Teams will be assigned 5 to a net and play each team on their net 2 games (making 8 games per team)

The top 2 teams on every net will advance to single elimination playoffs

Pools will be divided based on your league record

Pools will also match teams from different EEVB leagues so you will see new competition from the teams you play every week

 

Prizes: will be awarded to the top 2 teams in each division

 

Registration:

Captains should send in an email to let us know that your team is coming. This will allow us to have enough nets ready for all teams

 

Other:

1. Please car-pool as we expect the lot to fill up. There will be close to 1,000 players from EEVB leagues in Long Beach, Cedar Beach and the Hamptons plus players for our doubles tournament coming. Combined with the car rally, the lot will fill up quickly and players will be directed to park in the bay side marina and at Overlook Beach ¼ mile to the east
2. The Beach Hut is supplying a party for the players after the tournament. Please be considerate and do not bring any alcoholic beverages to the beach since it is a licensed liquor selling area. A full bar will be available for players to purchase beer, wine and other drinks plus great food.
3. A band will be playing all afternoon and during the party. Plan on staying late
4. If your team cannot come and you still want to play you can join another team as long as you clear it with EEVB in advance.
