We need something akin to a tennis pro (a "volleyball pro"?) for our law firm outing on July 17th. It's an all day event (approx. 9am to 5pm). We need someone energetic and enthusiastic--who really knows his/her stuff--to design a short program for a bunch of people who will range from never having played before to mediocre.
I will give more details to interested parties but here are the pros and cons as I see them:
Pros
- You get to spend the day at a country club and when you're not working, eat/drink for free (all food/alcohol provided)
- You can swim, play tennis and/or golf during the day when volleyball is not in session
- Play volleyball on grass (it's fake grass, I believe)
Cons
- Most people won't know how to play volleyball (i.e., patience is required!)
- You will be teaching a bunch of lawyers (i.e., patience is required!)
- Although all food/drink is provided, your per diem is modest ($150)
Drop me a line with some information on your coaching background and I can provide more details. The event is July 17th at a country club in CT (easily accessible by train).
(I captain a team in NY Urban and have therefore been put in charge of volleyball at the event, in case you're wondering...)
Regards,
Katherine
