Re: [new-mexico-volleyball] playing in Santa Fe

Hi Kimberly,

For indoors, Lobo League in Abq is about the only competitive womens and co-ed.  There is a co-ed league in Santa Fe that runs fall/ winter and I guess a coed 4's that's running now that is decent.  For outdoors, I'm going to divulge the big secret, so nobody get mad ;-)  Monday, Wednesday and Sat. is co-ed, usually 4's on sand.  It is a decent level, some folks that play go to tournaments, most have just been playing there a long time.  The other days is for highly competitive men's, 2's.  Hopefully, some women can organize and set up grass nets at the park.  What we really need is another sand court in Santa Fe next to the one that exist at the train park off St. francis.  Also, I think we're going to organize Friday's as a training day, doing drills & stuff, but we'll need to see how this shapes up.  It's esciting because so far, it looks like there is going to be a good amount of interest in playing outside in Santa Fe this year.  I'm working on putting together a website that will list the outdoor tournaments across a broad region (3-4 states) soon, so hopefully this can grow as well.  Feel free to email me directly for more info on any of this.
