On September 10th, we will honor our dear friend, Dorothy Delgado (see
attached photo) with a great day of fun and joy.
She is battling a serious form of cancer and we wish to help alleviate her
financial burden. It is well beyond her means and is a source of huge
stress for her.
So we decided to help her in a way that we know best; an INCREDIBLE day of
FUN!
A huge all day picnic (9AM-7PM)
Here are just a few of the planned activities:
1) a picturesque setting right at the lake, just for us
2) a casual informative hike beginning at our pavilion (10AM) showing
historical sights including General Washington's encampment
3) fishing all day at the lake (bring license)
4) VOLLEYBALL ~ tournament (recreation division and power division trophies
to both winning teams!). Also, ongoing pick-up games simultaneously.
5) horseshoes, fris bee, egg toss competition
6) casual mountain bike ride (with leader) on the famous "Patriots Path"
(10AM)
7) casual street bike ride (with leader) in the surrounding scenic area
(10AM)
8) ongoing softball games
There will be burgers (beef/turkey/veggie), hot dogs, salads, soft drinks,
beer/wine. It would help if everyone brought a little something to share.
NEXT STEP: please send check to:

Make check out to "Joseph Manicone"
First 225 people to respond will be included with no exceptions. A
registry/sign in with wristbands will be required. I've been told that a
county policeman will be present.
Let us repeat that this is not only a great day of fun, but an important
opportune time to lift up our friend in dire need.....all proceeds will go
directly to this cause.
