I wanted to update everyone on the nominations thus far, but before I do I would
like to nominate another individual for vice president. I am nominating Scotty
Phillips for vice president. I asked Scott if he would be interested in
becoming an officer for the club and he said that he would be, and that he would
have a light enough course load to be able to help. Scott if you would prefer
a different position then please let me know and I will change my nomination.
Nate Hiatt are you interested in any positions? I imagine that it would be
best if individuals with multiple nominations choose which position they would
prefer. We could allow them to run for multiple positions, but it would
decrease their chances of being nominated. However, it is also possible that
an individual would be elected for two positions, and then they would have to
choose between positions. This might be too complicated and it probably would
be best if people let me know which position they would prefer (if anyone
disagrees speak up). I am going to list all nominations in this message, and
then I will make changes once people decide between positons and accept their
nominations. The nominations thus far are as follows:

• Co-President: Tom Skiles, Christina Stark, Amber Broch.

• Vice President: Scott Phillips (?), Christina Stark.

• Sponsorship coordinator: Peter Graf (other position?), Cody Clark, Amber
Broch.

• Race coordinator: Scot Ferguson, Tom Skiles.

• Web master: Nick Connolly (I am always willing to help with this if help is
needed).

• Treasurer: Alex Vanderhoff

• Secretary: ?

If anyone has any further nominations then please let me know and I will add
them to the list before we vote. Did I miss anyone?. I also wanted to say that
I fully agree with Margaret regarding her idea of splitting work loads between
two people. Often times as the semester progresses we all get bogged down with
school work, and then have less time than we may have anticipated. I don't see
why most positions can not be shared. Are there any downhillers out there that
are interested in helping out. Margaret's suggesting of having one of the
downhillers share the sponsorship coordinator position was an excellent idea,
and would greatly benefit the team by diversifying our product support.
