I'd be into riding the XC course wednesday anytime.  I don't live too far from there so once we decide on the courses I can go up and do some work each week until the race.  Better get some long travel noisy bike adrenalin yahoos up there to survey as well, otherwise I'm liable to slip a climb and mandatory yawn section into the DH.

Just a reminder that we will be putting on the Sky Tavern classic again this
year on August 19th. It is an open Norba race for XC and DH, the last race in
the NV cup series.

We need volunteers! Please email me if you can volunteer for the event. We will
need about a dozen volunteers. The event is from about 7:30 am for setup to 6pm
takedown. If you can do any part of the day or all day please include that
info. You can volunteer and still be able to race if you want, just let me
know. We need a BBQ chief too......

The course needs some serious work! Last year we did quite a bit of work and LB
told me that it looks like the same thing this year- quite overgown, some
downed logs etc. The DH especially needs some TLC. I'd be into checking it out
some evening this week, if you want to go, post a time/day to the listserve so
we can do a lap and check it out, or I will later in the week. We can then get
a plan together on getting it race-ready.

The last thing is that we need someone to round up prizes for the winners and to
put together a race bag if possible. We will give away some cash (probably
fastest 3 men/women), but getting nice prizes offsets the amount of money we
have to payout, and makes the racers happy and willing to come back. We also
have medals from NORBA.

Please take part in putting this event together. It is one of the best MTB races
in Northern NV/ California and the only DH race in northern nevada this year.
