To whom it may concern:
In Moorcroft, WY, a small town outside of Gillette, WY, there are 100 horses
fighting for their lives. This number used to be 145. In the last few months
they too were unfortunate losses in this tragedy. Why you ask? Because Susan
& John Rose, the owners of the herd, have been slowly starving them to
death. This is one in a string of emails I have sent out, but this is my most
desperate plea. More than two weeks ago the Brand Inspectors of Wyoming took
over this case. They have sent out numerous emails claiming the situation is
UNDER CONTROL. Since they took charge at least 7 horses have died. SEVEN. They
are not taking any action worth mentioning. Susan Rose had 150 head of horses
on 300 acres, where she did not feed them, believing that those that died of
starvation were just part of survival of the fittest. In the last 5 years, it
is thought that 40-120 horses have died at her hands. Numerous complaints
have been made. Nothing was done for YEARS. Now they tell her to place all but
40. 40 Breeding Animals. In two years she will be right back here again. If
she has killed so many why leave her with ANY? The state Of Wyoming has "taken
charge" of the situation, though there was NEVER any vet called. The horses
were never moved, never sufficiently fed, they are now letting her give away
60 starving horses to whoever comes. There are many good hearted people
taking in needy horses. There are also cruel people, with thoughts of free horses
to make a profit at a slaughter house. Horses are dying daily. DAILY. WHERE
IS THE MERCY? I am asking everyone to email everyone they know. ASK THEM TO
TAKE ACTION. Pat Fazio of the Wyoming Animal Network is in the process of
filing legal action against the state of Wyoming livestock brand inspectors and
other involved. Until then there are still horses starving and dying. The
state is doing practically nothing. Please help. This list contains contact
numbers and emails. Just a phone call or an email will help tremendously.

4. Contact the media. There have been several news spots and articles
written so far, but the more people who know the better. Tell the world about the
lack of laws for the protection of the equines of Wyoming. In a state so
involved in it's heritage...WHY ARE WE LETTING THEM DIE??
4. CONTACT THESE PEOPLE. LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE STATE'S JOB
SO FAR. DEMAND LEGAL ACTION AGAINST SUSAN & JOHN ROSE. DEMAND THE MAXIMUM
LEGAL SENTENCE. DEMAND THAT ALL OF HER HORSES AND ANIMALS BE CONFISCATED BEFORE
MORE INNOCENT LIVES ARE LOST.
