When you email your repre you'll get only a web email program. What
I've done is to write a story of each of my horses that had been
slaughter bound, you can't add pictures, and then copy/paste them.
We have to put at least names to these horses. Faxing and snail mail
you can add pictures. Give this issue a face. A face that is loved,
that is wanted, what a gift we have!
Marge, these horses aren't just therapy horses for Iraq, they are used
everyday here, in the US for children, and adults, with all kinds of
handicaps, to the joy of all.
Horse slaughter is more then unethical, it's immoral. It makes us
less then Americans by allowing this to go on, by feeding the killing
machine.
Does anyone remember the episode of MASH where Radar was trying to
save the stray dog from being eaten? How horrified everyone was by
that thought! The fight to save Col. Potter's horse from being eaten?
Don't you think the writers then knew something the rest of us need a
clue x 4 on? We don't eat dogs, some do, but, we don't send our
unwanted dogs there. Why do we send our unwanted horses to that fate?
Just my thoughts
Mary
