Re: [netballcoaching] (unknown)

Hi there

I generally run my training sessions as follows:

Warm up first: Get into two's and take turns from baseline running up to
transverse with various types of running, ie: sidestep, sprint, jog, backwards
jog etc.
Stretching
A couple of ball drills:

2 lines facing each other shoulder to shoulder.
Pass ball across line and run behind your line to the end.
The two lines will move slowly down court. Concentrates on quick passing and
teamwork. A good one to do as a race if you have two teams.

Work on a particular skill each training session ie: Types of passing or getting
free for the pass.
Finish off with a short game, focusing on the skill you have been working on. A
good tip to try for getting free, is to play the game with no lob passes
allowed. This makes the girls have to work hard to get free by dodging etc. A
free pass given to the other team if a lob pass is done.

Good luck with your trainings.
