Hi,
I wonder if there is any rule governing time out for a
fire alarm. Even though this was a false alarm,
everyone had to vacate the sports hall. We stood
outside in the cold and wet for a good 20 mins before
we were allowed back in. During this time I (as
coach) kept the players active; I also coached them on
their performance in the game; I asked the umpires who
said that I could do so. When we were allowed back on
court the players were given 5 mins to warm back up
and the game continued.
As coaches cannot coach during injury time are they
permitted to coach during a fire drill?
Has anyone had a similar experience?
