Re: [netballcoaching] FOOTWORK 9 - 10 year olds

when they are standing around the goal circle, do they have an apponent and can you explain it a little more.

Can anyone give me some set plays, we are coming up against the top team, (which we beat last week) in a couple of weeks in the final and I would love the girls to have some set plays, any suggestions

thanks

Lisa

Hi,  Its hard to explain, but easy to do!   Another thing I do for dodging is the game of tag. do you play that?

I also have a drill where all the girls stand around the goal circle and are dodging from side to side.  I stand under the ring and then throw the ball to each girl in turn.  They seem to really enjoy it.  I've got one girl who dodges really well & I have stopped the others dodging and made them watch how she does it.  I think they took it in???

Regards,

Michelle.

Hi,
I like the sound of your drill but I am still confused on what you mean. I
coach fun netta and trying little stepping and pivoting drills with the
girls. Have you got any ideas on how to get them to dodge really well and
Lead forward?? I have been trying the basic thrower, leader and defender,
but its getting booring and repetitive.
Cheers,
Claire
