Hi there
I am coaching a group of Under 11's who are doing really well this year.
I have focussed on the basics with them : lead to space/get in front,
speed and effective passing.( I have learnt a lot from the advice from
this web forum actually!.) The girls are doing really well with the
basics and that has helped them win many of their matches. They are now
ready to learn more about space, timing and getting the ball down the
court quickly out of defence. To give you an idea, they still bunch up
a bit when we move down the court from defence and it seems to take them
a long time to find the 'right' effective pass. I think its because
everyone is leading at the same time and around the same area.
Does anyone have any ideas on drills at training that we could do, or
even simple set plays that could help them get to that next level with
their play?
Would love your thoughts.
Regards
Tania
