i get them to do a number of drills so they can feel which one is most

I love this one! Teach them to run towards the ball (ie 'come underneath the ball'), jump and catch. That way they land on both feet and have a choice of...

When we do drills, regardless of what drill it is, I get my girls to yell out "1, 2" to coincide when their feet hit the ground. Whichever foot is number 1...
