Hi
At this age I have found that a few things to look out for.

Do they land on the balls of their feet or flat footed. Balls of feet allows
balance.
Jumping lightly up instead of straight ahead helps them as their momentum
takes them forward and they get off balance.

When we do drills, regardless of what drill it is, I get my girls to yell out "1, 2" to coincide when their feet hit the ground. Whichever foot is number 1...
