Kate from Palmerston Crocs Netball has given a fairly comprehensive
reply but thought I would expand on a couple of issues which she did
not touch upon.
Firstly the pure physiology of wearing a support will give a player
more confidence; 10 years ago the thinking was that supports should
only be worn as an aid to recovery. That is not current thinking and
may well account for the 'anti' view of some parents.
Secondly its not very 'cool' to wear netball trainers and sports
socks so make sure you get your youngsters to understand the need to
wear trainers that are in good condition, are properly laced up (ie
you can't take them off with unlacing them first) and that a thick
pair of socks are worn to take up all the remaining space.
