Thank you Marion for posting this update, and thank you for not
giving up on us!
I was spacing out at work and surfing the net on company time one
day, and glimsed an update on acmilan.com about the injured players,
including Nesta, and intended to cut & paste and post that over here
when I got home. But when I got home I could not find that tidbid on
the Milan site anymore. And I was too lazy to recreate the bit and
that was that. (Shame on me!)
There really is not much point to fly all the way back from Miami to
Rome just to get a medal. Besides, Nesta is already a Cavaliere--the
Azzurri were all made Cavaliere after Euro2000, and this time he was
supposed to "only" get a promotion!
BTW, Gabriela and baby Sofia accompany Nesta in Miami. So at least
he gets to enjoy some family life and his new fatherhood during his
recovery and rehab. There are some photos floating around the net
showing the family out for a stroll. I have to say Papa Nesta looks
the part and is getting pretty handy with the baby carriage!
I wish we have Nesta's games to talk about, but I suppose we will
have to content ourselves with whatever gossip we can get (and God
knows there is precious little gossip on our publicity-shy guy),
while he recovers.
Best of luck in the New Year, Sandro, and get well soon!
Ming
