Newcastle University Boat Club wishes to appoint a part time
assistant coach.

£10,000 (10 month, part time contract beginning at the end of
September)

The assistant coaches responsibilities include working under the
Head Coach and with the club captains to develop the skills and
performance of both fresher and senior crews. This position would
involve following senior crews both male and female to the Head of
the river Race and Henley Royal Regatta. Assisting the head coach in
their training both on land and water. The role would include
helping to rig and maintain the boats under the guidance of the
clubs boatman. The assistant coach would also help in the transport
of boats to rowing events and in the recruitment of new athletes to
the club.

ARA qualifications are desirable but not essential, but candidates
must look to gain these qualifications through the year. Candidates
must be able to demonstrate their coaching ability and possess a
mature and enthusiastic approach to their role as assistant coach. A
trailer licence is essential and some knowledge of rigging is
preferable.
