Hi ,
I just moved to Long Beach, NY and almost everyday there is an afternoon
south wind so there like 2 or three kites surfing along the shore. you have
to come after 5:30 or 6pm when the lifeguards are living.
It's only 50 min ride on the LIRR from Pen Station.
