Just seeing if there is any interest in a weekly pick up game of
ultimate, say 4:30 to dark at the North Attleboro High School? I'm
thinking either tuesday or wednesday? If there is any interest form
individuals or teams, shoot me a message at pwalukevich1@...
Thanks,

Hey there -
Masco now has a freshman/sophomore team which is basically an
intramural team just learning the game. we are looking for a couple
games for them to get some experience. they are very new to the game
and we don't have them on the website so the scores wouldn't count
towards your record but if you're a newer team looking for games we 'd
love to host you in topsfield!
also, we have a women's team looking for games.
any of the following dates work for either team. hope to hear from you!
Hey everyone-
i'm looking to schedule some games for the Masco Boys B team. We have
fields in Topsfield or can travel. If you are interested in playing us,
we'd love to get some more games! Here are some open dates.

(Some of you have already received e-mail about this -- my apologies
for any duplication.)
You are all probably aware that the World Junior Ultimate
Championships are going to be held at Devens this August 13-18.
(Website: www.wjuc2006.org) The tournament organizing committee is
planning this event as more than a competition but also a cultural
opportunity for kids of many cultures to spend time together,
socialize, interact on different levels and walk away feeling as
though they have experienced something special in addition to a
great competitive Ultimate tournament.
I wanted to let you know about a first-ever Hosting program that
will match local high school Ultimate teams with teams coming in to
the Boston area from around the world for the competition. As a
host team, you will have a unique opportunity to make new friends
and participate in the WJUC experience!
Host team members will have access to many of the tournament
activities throughout the week. These include the opening and
closing ceremonies, all games, and most evening social events. (A
small fee will be charged to each host team ID holder when there is
a cost involved, such as the ice cream social.) Of course, the
greatest benefit will be the relationships you will develop with
Ultimate players from around the world.
Members of participating teams will be able to interact with kids
from the area, learn more about the Junior Ultimate experience in
the US, perhaps enjoy some pre- or post-tournament games with their
host team, and maximize their time in the US with some great kids
who will want to be their hosts.
A few FAQs:
What will a host team be required to do?
It can be as little or as much as you can. We will try to match
teams that may be looking for more time in the local area and games
to play (such as Australia) with teams that are willing to do more.
Other teams may simply need someone to touch base with, answer their
questions, and perhaps provide a floor to sleep on for a night
depending on their travel schedules. There will be no opportunity
during the tournament for the international teams to tour Boston, so
your assistance can help make this affordable and enjoyable for the
visitors.
All host teams, though, are the local, built-in ˇ°fan baseˇ± for the
visiting team. Host team members should plan on attending games to
cheer their team on!
A host team delegation could meet the team at the airport and assist
with transportation to Devens. Again, this is not required since
busses will be available for these teams, but it also might be a
great way to get acquainted.
How will teams be matched up?
Once a participating team leader completes their registration, they
will be match with a host team who has gone through the application
process and chosen to be a part of this program. At that point, Team
Leaders of both groups can begin to correspond with each other,
exchange information, ask questions and begin what will hopefully
become a helpful and important part of their WJUC2006 experience for
themselves and their teams. We would like a host team to therefore
have an adult representative, whether it is a coach or a parent, who
can help handle some of these interactions.
Who can apply?
High school teams competing in the Massachusetts Central, Northeast
and Southeast regions of the BUDA high school division are eligible
to apply for the program. Western Massachusetts and southern New
Hampshire teams that can demonstrate that distance from Devens will
not impede ability to fulfill responsibilities. Teams from private
schools must have at least ten members residing in the Boston metro
area at the time of the tournament.
How do we apply?
See the WJUC web page for an application.
Thanks,
Catherine Greenwald
CCHS coach
WJUC Hosting and Social Activities Coordinator

The New England High School Ultimate season seems to be just out of the
starting gates, and this is a great time to check your team's
information on the UPA website.
Rodney Jacobson, of Hanover NH, created and maintains a great score
reporter, tournament seeder, and national ranking tool. It can be found
in the upper right hand corner of the UPA home page, or here:
http://www4.upa.org/scores/scores.cgi?div=121&page=2
This is a great way to find other teams to play, and advertise
tournaments. More importantly, it can be a very useful resource when
seeking more support from your school administration: it is easy to
show how many teams there are in the state and nation, and for many
administrators, it is helpful to see that there are rankings for the
sport of ultimate (i.e; it is competitive, and people take it
seriously).
However, in order to work, everyone needs to make sure that their team
is listed (and has up-to-date contact information). Also, following
each game, one of the coaches/captains needs to enter the score.
If you are running a tournament, it should be listed on the site as
well. If everyone is reporting scores, it will help you seed the
tournament, which is better than guessing.
Hey, this is Josh from the Wayland Ultimate team. We have a B team
this year and we were wondering if anyone wanted to schedule some
games with their B teams. Let me know. We are more than welcome to
playing any team in any district or region.
thanks!
Bids are now being accepted for the AndoverInvitationalHigh
School tournaments. They will again be two
separate one day tournaments on Saturday April 29th and Sunday April
30th.
The cost is $110 per day. Teams may play on both days only if
there is enough room.
Interested teams must submit an online bid by Wednesday
April 5th. Don’t wait until the deadline to submit your bid
though. Teams will be selected no later than Friday April 7th. To
submit a bid (and for more information), go to www.andoverultimate.com (click
High School and Andover Invitational). The tournament fee must be received no
later than April 16th.
Nine teams will be accepted for each day of competition.
Teams who have competed in the past will have first preference along with teams
that play in the New England High School League (www.buda.org/highschool). We
will make ever attempt to try to get teams to play other teams of equal caliber
as the day goes on. All teams are guaranteed 3 games during the day; some teams
could play 4 games. The purpose of the tournaments is to get teams experience
playing in multiple games and not necessarily to declare a winner.
Just announcing a new tournament -
Arctic Zone in Barre, MA. The tournament will be held on Saturday,
June 10th, with a rain date of Sunday, June 11th. This tournament is designed for
high school and middle school teams who have been together for less than three
years. Basically, it is an opportunity to play with your team in a tournament
and having a decent chance in every game you play. You can find further details
at the tournament website, http://home.comcast.net/~skoerner89/tourney.html
. The cost is only $75, and we are accepting bids until April 15th. We have
room for up to 16 teams, but the number of teams in the tournament will be
finalized by April 21st, so make sure to get your registrations in on time.
Hope to see plenty of teams there!
Check out the info about getting misprints from Discraft. It is under "What equipment is needed by a team?" near the top of the page in this article from the NEPSUL website. The link will take you to the order form, which you can fill out and fax in.
They are usually pretty quick to get these orders out, and 20 discs lasts our team of 25+ more than a season - usually can give the old practice discs to the new players the next year to practice throwing with, and have enough new ones to start practice for the next season.
Ask them - they might even have a juniors discount price - can't remember.
Does anyone know of any good stores/sites where we can get a bundle of
frisbee's cheap? I found a site awhile ago but i can't seem to
relocate it. Thanks for the help.

*****************************************
If any member of your team
would like to place an order for additional VC gear to be shipped with your
order, we'll hook you up with sponsorship pricing on the following items:
Did you know that the
Ultimate Players Association requires that all players participating in the UPA
High School Championships and the Youth Club Championships must wear jerseys of
identical color and design, and that you must have two jerseys of distinctly
different color as well as all be wearing shorts of the same color?
To help make the often
complicated task of ordering team jerseys more simple, we'd outlined the
order process to help simplify the task for your team contacts, coaches or
parents.
1. Visit VC's website
at www.vcultimate.com Take a look at the
different jersey styles that we offer. We are happy to send you
information and quotes on more than one uniform option.
2. Contact VC
Email us at
info@... or call us toll free at 1-866-844-2511 with any questions
you may have about our jerseys, shorts, screen printing and order process, or
about VC in general.
OR
Email/call us with the
details of your potential order and we will email/fax you a quote(s) for the
uniform order that you describe.
3. Ready to Order
When you are ready to place
your order, you can either email, call or fax us with the following
information:
- Contact name, email
and phone number
- School/team name
- Shipping address (if
known already)
- Jersey
style(s), material (QuickDry or CoolMax), color scheme
- Sizes required, by
gender if applicable
- Player numbers for each
jersey (if required)
- Design info,
including art file, logo placement and size, and colors
4. Artwork/Logo Help
If you only have a rough
draft of a logo or a design on paper, don't worry… maybe we can
help. We prefer that art is submitted in Adobe Illustrator, but send us
what you have and we will try out best to get your design in to a printable
format. The first hour of design work is free, and that's usually
all it takes.
5. Payment
VC accepts school purchase
orders, cheques and money orders, or Visa and MasterCard. If you are
planning to use a school purchase order, please send us a copy when you submit
your order so that we can start right away. If you plan on paying by
check or credit card, we require a 40% deposit within the first week to keep
production going, and the balance will be due upon shipping.
6. Order Timeline
Custom orders take 3-4 weeks
to manufacture, plus an additional week if you require printing. If you
have a specific event that you are hoping to have your uniforms for, please let
us know and we will do our best to meet your deadline.
Please email highschool@... if you plan on coming to the meeting
outlined below:
It's time again for the Spring Scheduling meeting. This is not a

you to do something: Forward this to the right person, and also ask
them to update the contact information on the BUDA.org/highschool team
