Re: UCPC registration & HS coaches   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #98 of 339 |

Since I am new to the BUDA admin group, I don't have a database of HS coaches.

Joe might have that kind of list?

Starting this season we're redoing all the contact lists for HS teams, so we will have that info nicely packaged in the near future.

Besides posting on RSD, if you want to get the word out I would do a blanket emailing to:

NETDS@googlegroups.com - New England Tournament Directors
ultimate@yahoogroups.com
Neultimate@... - NEPSUL mailing list
nehsultimate@yahoogroups.com

That would get the word out pretty well.

Joe, Josh, We're considering helping out current coaches w/ the UCPC reg

of your players, get in free" deal.

Any suggestions on how I can reach out to the coaches group?  Use the
yahoo group?  But I'd also like a list so I know how many and whom I'm
talking to.

Ah, if only I had a distribution list of all the current HS coaches, or
another way to get in touch w/ them, like, say, a forum...

Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for checking in.  I will try to answer all your questions.
Tiina (cc'd) can clarify if I missed anything.

-While Tiina and I tried to have presentations that will cater from
beginner to elite, we have not specifically discussed how we would
like the demographics to break out.  Having said that, I think the
topics and the College Recruiting Fair (part of the Ultimate Expo)
will make this event very attractive to High School coaches and
players.  So I am not that concerned that BUDA offering to help with
coaches fees will skew the numbers.  I do think that this is a great
idea and very generous on the part of BUDA.  Tiina did have a chance
to talk about this and we have a couple of questions/ideas:

-If you offer this incentive in a week or so.....what do we do about
coaches who have already regsitered?  Perhaps it makes sense to offer
this incentive very soon.
-While it would be great to get the coaches there.....we would love to
get the kids there.  Maybe some kind of incentive like "sign up 5 of
your players and get free registration".

-In terms of numbers, the venue can handle up to about 350 attendees.

Thanks, George
