Hi all,

This is it, your OFFICIAL invitation to attend the Amherst (MA) Middle
School Invitational on Saturday, May 31, 2008.

Please note the new date. I realize this might not be good for some
teams, but I had no choice, I can't get the fields we need on the
earlier date.

I would like to know as soon as possible FOR SURE who will be coming.
Many of you have already told me you are coming, but please reply to
this anyway with your official confirmation.

When you reply, please let me know the following:
Age range of players on team
Approximate number of players on team
Coed or Boys or Girls
Level of experience & ability of your team

If you are still undecided, send me an email and let me know WHEN you
will be making your decision.

If you are bringing multiple teams, I will need separate info (and
money) for each team.

The entry fee for the tournament will be $35 per team. Payment in
advance is best for me, payment on the 31st is tolerated. Checks should
be made out to 'ARMS ULTIMATE'. Money will go towards discs, snacks,
and school expenses.

Every team will be guaranteed at least 2 games, and most teams will play
3 games. The teams that travel from farthest away will certainly play 3
games if they want to.

The tournament will take place on the Amherst Regional HIGH SCHOOL fields.

As in past years, this will not be a true 'tournament' with brackets,
semifinals, and finals, since we don't have the time or the field space
to do this. I will make every effort to match teams by their strength
to keep the games close and competitive. As in past years, the visiting
teams will play against our intramural teams in the morning, and our
travel team will play in the afternoon. We will once again have a
coaches vs all-stars game, which (of course) will again be won by the
coaches! Each visiting team will contribute two players to the all-star team.

The tournament schedule will most likely be as follows:
Captains Meeting at 9:30 (all teams)
Game 1 start at 10:00 cap at 11:00
Game 2 start at 11:30 cap at 12:30
Coaches vs All-Stars 1:00 to 1:30 (Field 1)
Game 3 start at 1:45 cap at 2:45
Game 4 start at 3:15 cap at 4:15
4:30 SOTG Award

PPS: If your team is brand-new and inexperienced, this is a great
