In part of its efforts to support coaches working with high school
teams, BUDA is offering a $35 rebate (that's half-price) to any BUDA
HSUL coach that takes the UPA Level 1 coaching clinic, to be held in
Concord, MA on November 17. BUDA enourages coaches working with high
school teams to acquire the certification, not only to raise the
general level of coaching available to kids, but to help them further
develop legitimacy for Ultimate programs in the eyes of school
administrators as well as parents.
More information about the clinic can be found at:
http://upa.org/coaches/coaching. Note that the deadline for signing
up for the clinic is November 3!
In order to qualify for the rebate, a coach must be listed on the BUDA
High School Open Team list or Girls Team list as the coaching contact.
Requests for rebates will be processed after successful completion of
the course -- if you plan on taking the course, go ahead and sign up
online and pay the UPA the full price. Not that certification is only
extended to current UPA members. If you are not a current UPA member,
do not join the UPA online! If you do, your membership will only be
good through the end of 2007. Instead, download the membership and
waiver forms and send them by snail mail to the UPA with your check.
Please be sure to note that you participated in this clinic - the UPA
has said it will hold the check and apply your membership to 2008.

course and plan to apply for the refund) contact hs07@...
