Bill,
I've run Campy BBs for many years and have only recently started
to have problems with them...as they go (and they can't be
serviced like the old ones could), I replace them with Phil Wood
BBs. The Phil Woods are wonderful and will give you many thousands
of miles of service. They can also be serviced...
You can get a 105mm axle length and run that with a single (inner)
chainwheel for the right geometry. Then run a single outer
chainguard. A 42 or 45 tooth inner is about right and readily
available from Campy retailers. The chainguard can be gotten from
Cyclocross World, and the Phil Wood BBs are readily available...
Hope this helps.
