Re: [necyclocross] cross frames with down tube cable mounts

My newest bike, the new Cannondale frame runs the cables down the down tube
instead of the top tube, and I have to say I like the design better because
water and grime doesn't run (fed by gravity) down the cable along the seat stay
into last piece of housing before the rear derailleur. On my old Ridleys I used
to replace my cables constantly because of this. On the Cdale, I think I
changed my cables once mid season. And I never notice the cable when I lift the
bike for the down tube for shouldering. So don't be afraid! change is
sometimes ok.

Matt

Is it just me or is there growing trend of moving the cables from
the

top tube down to the head and/or down tube? Take a look at Kona,

Salsa, Serotta etc.

Its weird that this seems like a new thing, but really its all just going back to how it was when cross specific frames first came around.  It was like that...
