Curtis,

You are right and my memory was wrong. There was a permit and the town was
concerned about being sued but no actual legal action was taking place. The
crit was violating traffic laws since the roads were not closed (and were
not allowed to be closed due to businesses there) and that was a big part
of the problem.

It's not a rumor. No more Lincoln training crit next year. "Why?", somebody asked. I have the e-mail at home but from memory: There was a crash 3-4 weeks ago....
