Re: [necyclocross] see the latest Worlds

And not just Worlds. He's got a bunch of the best Euro Races. My collection is
growing fast.
I haven't watched the Elite Worlds yet, but the U23 is a great race and the Jrs
& Women's were OK.
You don't see the American women as much as you might think because the French
rider is gone early in lap two and
so are the two chasers. The cameras don't often drift back to 4th place and
beyond. In general cross coverage
sticks to the leader(s) and chaser(s). If its a lone rider with a big lead the
race coverage isn't great.

How many euro cross races have you seen?

Did you know you can get the
fresh-in-the-history-books 04 Worlds (Men and Women)
on DVD? Screw reading about it, see it for yourself.
That guy at www.procyclocross.com has the '04 worlds
on DVD. Pretty cool since the race just happened a few
weeks ago.

Although its not the most technical course, watching
Wellans try to shed DeClerq on this dragstip, and
their battle is pretty fantastic. Seeing Wellens get
so fatigued he slips, stutters and near bonks, only to
recover with a scathing attack. Watching the lone
Frenchman and Pontoni hang tight amidst a sea of
Belgian blue. The statesman DeClerq trying to manage
the wild young Belgian, all the way to the line. Or,
watch the American women really make their mark and do
us right! Good stuff. Makes you want to be there next
year.

The DVD comes in English (7 laps) and Dutch (full 10
laps). If you can PayPal this guy $25, you can have
the DVD within three days or so. Pretty dern
convenient, I must say.

Trying to keep the fire alive.
