Dear NCTTA members,
This is a reminder that every NCTTA member should familiarize themselves with
our league rules. There are some intricacies (for ex., if a school fails to
notify the division director at least 10 days ahead of an agreed upon meet, all
its default matches can count as losses against that team in the standing). We
have built in many rules to protect the teams and strict guidelines on matching
line-up's.
Often times, the newer division directors are not very familiar with the rules
and it would be up to individual club presidents to raise concerns. Ultimately,
sanctions will be made against a whole division if rules are blatantly broken
(which has happened in the past and sanction was made).
Furthermore, it might seem early but it is time to start scheduling the spring
meet. All matches will need to be completed at least 5 weeks prior to April 11,
2004. No exceptions will be made. The earlier the division completes the
matches, the earlier it can start planning for possible championship traveling
to California. People need to start thinking hard about club fund raising
activities and how to convince school administrators for institutional funds in
the case of qualifying for a national champsions (after all, it is an honor to
qualify for the championship coming out of tough 4-team divisions).
Guidelines for fund-raising and all rules documents can be found at

Cheers,
Jack
NCTTA vice president
