RE: [ncrandoncyclists] MS 150 Beach ride

here, in nc, there's at least three great ms-150s to choose from:
* the "break-way" rockingham to myrtle,
* the "magical mystery" new bern ride,
* the greensboro/high-point ride.

i did the the break-away once, and it was terrific.
the new bern deal these days does loops so you camp in new bern both nights, which avoids some hassle
i like the feeling of 'getting somewhere' that point-to-point (e.g. break-away) offers, and miss that on 'loop' rides, even if i do have to deal with unreliable bus-from-the-boonies service.

some teams i MUST recognize, for their HIGH level of activity in the Triangle include:
* the (Apex/Cary) MSing Links
* the (Durham) MSFits
* the (Johnson Co.) Carolina Cyclepaths
* the (CH Hill/Carrboro) Tarwheels
* Carolina Brewing
* and numerous pharma co (e.g. gsk) backed rtp teams

as former (recent) president of NCBC, I resisted forming an NCBC team, feeling that ncbc could best serve such causes by assisting the existing teams and rides (such as raven rock and frostbite (Feb 24) ) in addition to general cyclist advocacy.

Subject: [ncrandoncyclists] MS 150 Beach ride

Hello all

This year the MS ride is at the beach with 35, 75 and (100 mile Sat
option). I just registered the Bicycle for Life MS Team they are
currently running a free registration special that may only last a
short while. There are a number of teams already registered this year.
There are only a few team for the Savannah River ride and registration
is normal price. We will have some info up on our
www.bicycleforlife.org web page next week about our MS Team.

Below is a short list of the teams that I recognize or know the team
captain.

If you are not on a team, Please consider joining one, even form your
own team or make a small donation to the MS fight.

Thanks for your help!

I've thought about that myself. I doubt that the ride organizers have a plan for riders who want to do the entire 150 miles in one day....
