I agree. Fans are already feeling a disconnect with
today's game and the modern player. The NBA's best
days were when the marquee players were humble,
respected the game and the fans. They were thankful to
be in the positions that they were afforded becuase of
their success and honored the ones that paved the way
for them. More and more today, you see a product of
the "ME" generation. The SportsCenter generation where
it's all about what I can do. And that's when I turn
to my beloved Suns. The way they play is old school
run & gun NBA and their stars are humble and gracious.
S lot like Jesse's Spurs.
But back to Carmelo. That sucker punch (altough it
dropped Mardy Collins like a bad habit) isn't well
respected in "the hood". Stand and fight like a man.
Look at the consequences. Your team lost 3 starters
because of your actions. He and Smith are the League's
highest scoring duo and Denver has to play 10 games
without them, and then 5 more without Melo. Good
choices, gentlemen.
