I think Mike is looking for a good crowd from the bike club........everybody try to come by and help get us ready for the bike club party..........not to mention there will be plenty of beer and whatever Mike's cooking that night.

Awesome!  That makes my day!  I was disappointed when I heard that we'd been beaten by 3 minutes.  I started wondering where I could have gone harder.  I guess we went hard enough after all.  That's why you never let up.

I agree that we all need to be at the Marketplace Saturday night.  That sounds like fun!  Make sure to invite your friends that might want to start riding.  You don't have to tell them it's a bicycle club thing.  Just trick 'em into coming and we'll talk them into starting to ride while they're drinking beer.  We ought to be there unless some big catastrophe happens!  I'm assuming kids will be welcome?

Last minute changes.   Marketplace would like us to start around 6 or 6:30.  Good news is we could play longer and practice more.   There's always a bright side isn't there Curtis.   If its rainy and muddy you can learn how to ride while sliding all over the trail.
By the way I really enjoyed Curtis' account of the 24 hr race.   As a bystander watching clean riders go out and nasty , filthy , muck covered riders come back, watching riders push their bikes up that last hill and give me a look that said they weren't sure whether getting back on their bike was a blessing or a curse, I'd say that Curtis gave you a very good idea what the race was like.

Louisiana Bicycle Festival
Sunday, JUNE 20, 2004      Fathers Day 10AM - 4PM Abita Springs

This will be our 4th festival.
New this year - flea market for bicycle people.
In the past there have always been people dealing bike stuff but now we want to officialy invite anyone to come buy and sell.
There will be no vendor fees.  We hope you do well.

Come see, exhibit, and ride homebuilt, vintage and custom bicycles. All bicycles types were welcome - yes you can bring your new mountain bike, your old racing bike, or the bicycle your grandfather has in is garage - we'd like to see it.

Sponsors included the Abita Springs Business Association, Abita Brewery, Walmart, 3G Bikes, BikeRod&Kustom, and the UCM Museum

Hundreds of bike enthusiasts attended the 3nd Annual Louisiana Bicycle Festival.
The number of participants was dampen by wet weather conditions in the area.
The event was well publicized by print, radio, and TV.

This year we expect over 300 bicycle fans.

Thanks for the wish.....! I am proud to be the Mother of Carmen (5) and Carrie (2.5). I ask God in my prayers (out loud with Carmen to encourage her to pray) at night how did I deserve such great kids....and she answers for him by saying "because you prayed everyday for us and so God gave us to you Mom"!!!

I don't know who started the Mother's and Father's day thing but I have to say we as parents play both roles at times and so in saying that I guess ya know that I wish EVERYONE a Happy Mother's day!!

I'm making another order of tshirts for the volunteers and racers that
didn't get one to begin with and for those that may want to purchase extras.
Extras will be $10/shirt.

Right now, I've got:

1 xxl
8 larges
5 Mediums
1 small

That accounts for all the scouts, Jerry H, Joesph D, Todd W, Kirk G,
Boatner, Geoffrey H, and Myself..

Please let me know if you volunteered and didn't get a shirt (Robby,
Melissa, Alice/Joshua, Allen R, James J, Stan - I need your sizes!)

Please let me know if you raced and didn't get one (I think I've accounted
for all the racers, but I want to make sure)

Please let me know if you want to purchase extra tshirts.

Thanks!

More pics and lap times will be online today!

Subject: [natchezbicycleclub] More 24HOCS tshirts
