The South Central Regional Championship Series (SCCS) will be kicking off March 4th in Biloxi, Mississippi. The series is open to any resident in any State. The series will consist of nine (9) NORBA sanctioned races in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. There will be a $2000 cash payout for Expert and Sport. The payout will go three (3) deep. In addition the overall series winner will receive a trophy and a jersey to wear for the next season.

March 4th, Briar-Badlands, Biloxi MS, 10 pts extra for signing up
April 22nd, Spillway Scramble, New Orleans LA
May 20th, Rock Crusher Classic II, Louisville MS
June 24th, Mississippi State Games, Meridian MS
August 12th, Baton Rouge Battle, Baton Rouge LA
September 2nd, Clear Creek Challenge, Oxford MS
September 30th, Alexandria LA
October 21st, Attack on Swayback, Montgomery AL, Double Points
November 11th, Butts Park revenge, Jackson MS, Season Final, Can not be used as a drop race.
Here is some basic information:
1. Racers must race 6 of the 9 races to qualify. Racers will recieve two (2) drop races and allowed one (1) extra miss.
2. The top 15 riders from each class will qualify to race at NORBA Mountain Bike Nationals.
3. Racers must have an annual NORBA license to participate in the points series. You can compete in any race with a one day license (beginner and sport).
4. There will be a $2000 cash overall payout for expert and sport at the end of the season. The payout will go three (3) deep. The overall series winner in each class (sport/expert) will receive cash payout, a jersey to wear the next season, and a trophy. 2nd and 3rd place (sport/expert) will recieve a cash payout and either a trophy, plaque, or ribbon. Beginner/junior 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a trophy, plaque, or ribbon and a jersey.

The Mississippi State Champion series will run concurrent with the South Central Regional Championship Series. The Mississippi State Champion Series will consist of the 5 Mississippi races. This part of the series is open to residents of Mississippi. You must race 3 of the 5 races to qualify (1 drop race and 1 miss). The overall winner will be recognized by USA Cycling and NORBA as the Mississippi State Mountain Bike Champion in their respective class/age. Mississippi residents can race just the Mississippi series if they would like.
