I agree with most of your assessment except that Arkipov could be the
odd man out. He seems to be mistake-prone, not willing to take a hit
or be physical and for whatever reason, he falls a lot for no
apparent reason.
I would try Zholtok on the former vowel line and bring Smith back to
center the 4th line. Putting some scoring on the 2nd line and more
physical presence on the 4th. Smith played with fire earlier this
year.
I heard people slamming Dennis on every miscue and TRIED to give him
the benefit of the doubt, but I can no longer. The team is on a
higher standard now and he has not rose to that standard.
He reminds me how Joel Bouchard or Patrick Kjellberg used to play.
Yes he is much better than them scoring-wise, but he is a rag doll
out there. You see him try to get in the slot and if by some stroke
of luck he does, a simple shove will send him to the ice. When the
game gets intense he passes poorly and misses passes.
I do not know what happend... Perhaps after his 25 goal year, people
got wise to him and started pushing him around.
Oh well, I am encouraged for the team going into the game tonight.
