Preds' Tootoo a goodwill ambassador

When Jordin Tootoo sits for an interview, it isn't so much a Q&A as
it is an FAQ. Tootoo finds himself responding to the same frequently
asked questions, over and over again.
Maybe he should just hand out a pre-printed brochure. But the
Nashville Predators rookie right winger is happy to handle all
interview requests personally. Tootoo is unfailingly polite and
endlessly patient when answering questions about his unique heritage.
"It's great that people want to know more about my background and
learn more about it," Tootoo says. "I'm here to educate and at the
same time play hockey and that's the bottom line."
Tootoo, Nashville's fourth round pick in the 2001 Entry Draft, is
the first Inuit to play in the NHL, which prompts the first question
the 20-year-old invariably hears when he enters an arena for the
first time: Why Inuit and not Eskimo?
